Let the DIY begin!

Once the Evites for our annual NYE party were sent out, it meant our first DIY project was fast approaching.

The Photobooth.

Early on, I decided our wedding would have one. D&T's wedding last December was a blast, partly because of their very busy, very funny photobooth that hosted all sorts of mischief during the reception.

Yep, that's us. Being goofy.

Two of my favorites of the boys + groom. Can you spot Mr. P?

At the time the only photobooths I'd seen were from photobooth companies (three vendors at one expo). Until I found out you can DIY this thing and save a grand. A Grand! Yes, please. There are as many p'booth styles as there are brides who've been there, done that and posted the DIY to help you. My favorite DIY is the PVC frame version: easy and cheap to build, transportable and endless ways to cover it.

The goal of our photobooth trial run on NYE was discover and work out the operational kinks, well in advance of the wedding while capturing some great party photos. But all I could think about was the prettification of said photobooth. We'll keep it simple for the New Year's party but will to do something a little more special for our wedding. Some ideas!

Have you ever been to a wedding with a photobooth? If so, what did you think?
